Why I Don’t Recommend Castor Oil for Brow Lamination & Lash Lift Aftercare (Copy)

I KNOW I MIGHT GET SOME HEAT FOR THIS, BUT...! 👇🏼
Many brow artists are currently advocating for the use of castor oil as post-care treatment.

But why castor oil specifically? What benefits does it offer? 🤔👇🏻

👉🏻 We all know that Castor oil is often recommended for eyebrow aftercare because it is believed to promote hair growth and thickness due to its high content of ricinoleic acid.

‼️ BUT IS IT ENOUGH? The answer is…. NO! ❌

Castor oil is indeed thick and heavy, which can weigh down the hair. Moreover, it tends to coat the hair rather than being absorbed, potentially creating a barrier against moisture. Its thickness can clog pores, attract dirt, and lead to buildup.
Were you aware that leaving castor oil on for too long can even have a drying effect on hair and skin, contrary to our goals for aftercare. It’s typically advised to avoid using castor oil on hair more than twice a week.

BUT WHAT TO USE INSTEAD OF CASTOR OIL? 🤔🤔

Nowadays, there is a wide range of conditioners, serums, masks, and balms with a good composition and nourishing ingredients on the market, including vitamins for brow hair growth and nourishment.
